KUALA LUMPUR (March 26): Grab Holdings Inc has announced a Partner Protection Fund of up to RM1,000 per individual as well as a Partner Relief Fund of up to RM300 for its drivers and delivery partners.

In a statement, the e-hailing company said its partners that have tested positive for COVID-19 or are required by the Ministry of Health to be self-quarantined are eligible for the Partner Protection Fund.

Meanwhile, active partners are provided vouchers of up to RM300 per driver or delivery partner to help with daily household expenses.

“These vouchers can be used on most Grab services, whether to reload your mobile or to purchase essential food and grocery items at up to 50% off for their families during this period,” it said.

Grab is also providing its partners free masks via GrabBenefits and have worked with its partners to impose mandatory hand sanitisation at stores as well as the usage of fully-sealed packaging to prevent contamination and spillage.

Besides that, the company has deployed contactless deliveries to minimise physical contact for the public and its partners.

It is also working with the Government to provide accurate and timely information relating to the outbreak via its app and has introduced a COVID-19 cover for Grab customers at 35 sen per ride.

“We would like to share our deep thanks to the many drivers and delivery partners out there who are soldiering on to put food not just on our tables, but also on their families’ as well as our nation’s healthcare workers. Please stay safe and healthy,” said Grab.
