KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11):    Gopeng Bhd’s (Gopeng) third largest substantial shareholder, Datuk Mohamad Hamdan bin Hazizi has sold his entire stake in the palm oil plantation company on Nov 27, 2014, said a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Gopeng announced that Mohamad Hamdan had disposed over 18.36 million shares or his entire 10.24% stake in the company. However, the price of the sizable transaction was not disclosed.

Gopeng’s largest shareholder is still Datuk Mhd Salleh bin Hashim, the company’s executive chairman, holding 32.93% in the company. This is followed by Fortuna Gembira Enterpris Sdn Bhd with 19.33% stake in Gopeng.

At 2.35 pm, Gopeng’s share price was trading unchanged at 81 sen as investors were not moved by the company’s latest announcement.

Year-to-date, the company’s share price has moved upwards and grew 9.46%.
