<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>“Concurrently, the MCMC (Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission) is also coordinating the 5G Testbed and Trials from April to October 2019, and the results will be shared with the task force for inclusion into their report, due in the fourth quarter of this year,” he added.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>He said the commission’s National Fiberisation and Connectivity Plan has set a target for gigabit-speed Internet services for certain strategic areas by 2020, and all state capitals by 2023, to ensure high-use areas for 5G will be ready for deployment when the standards are finalised.</p></div>
