KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 4): Global semiconductor equipment manufacturers billings fell 6% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2019 to US$14.86 billion from US$15.84 billion, according to US-based Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI).

In a statement on its website Dec 3, SEMI said the billings rose 12% quarter-on-quarter from US$13.31 billion.

The data are gathered jointly with the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ) from more than 80 global equipment companies that provide data on a monthly basis.
