KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): GHL Systems Bhd’s online payment arm eGHL has teamed up with McDonald's Malaysia to enable a wider range of payment options for the McDelivery online ordering service with more flexibility for customers along with safety and security features that simplify online payment.

In a statement, GHL said eGHL’s solutions simplify the McDelivery process from a customised payment page that improves the customer checkout experience to reconciliation reporting and a simplified refund process that help resolve friction and challenges.

It said the new payment options include the enablement of online banking and e-wallet payment acceptance.

GHL group chief executive officer (CEO) Danny Leong said: “GHL is excited to be able to add and expand the payment options available to McDonald’s delivery service. The Covid-19 impact has been unprecedented and online transactions such as for food delivery have become increasingly popular and necessary.

He further added: “Strengthening the payment experience for both consumers and business owners is essential as e-commerce activities grow substantially.”

eGHL’s features and solutions — including the addition of FPX (online banking) as well as e-wallet payment options such as Touch 'n Go eWallet, Boost, and GrabPay — empower McDelivery to lead the charge in elevating the customer experience and catering to its diverse customer base’s payment preferences.

Besides, Leong said customers can place their orders for McDelivery via the mobile app or their desktop browser, and then select any of the available credit or debit card, e-wallet or online banking for payment.

At the time of writing, shares in GHL were unchanged at RM2.11, bringing its market capitalisation to RM1.61 billion. It saw some 26,100 shares traded.
