KUALA LUMPUR (March 11): Genting Singapore Ltd (GenS) and its subsidiaries will no longer release financial statements on a quarterly basis.

In a stock exchange filing March 10, GenS said the changes were effective Feb 7, 2020.

GenS said it decided not to continue with quarterly reporting and will instead release the financial statements of the company and the group on a half-yearly basis.

The group's company secretary Liew Lan Hing said the next financial results announcement will be for the half-year ending June 30, 2020.

"The company will provide voluntary quarterly business updates to shareholders in respect of each of the first and third quarter of the financial year ending March 31 and September 30, respectively.

"The board believes that a half-yearly financial reporting cycle and the provision of voluntary quarterly business updates, together with the observation of strengthened requirement is sufficient to keep shareholders informed," said Liew.
