KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 16): Ge-Shen Corp Bhd has been issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query by Bursa Malaysia, after its share price touched a historic high today.

Ge-Shen shot up 18 sen or 7% to as high as RM2.13 earlier today, before paring some gains and settling at RM2 as at 12.30 pm.

Its share price, which begun climbing significantly since mid-July (it was trading at 75 sen on July 1), has risen more than 58% since the beginning of November, when it was trading at RM1.26.

In the regulatory's UMA query — which also advised investors to take note of the company's reply — Ge-Shen was requested to disclose any corporate development, rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group, or any other possible reason that could account for its share price rally.

Ge-Shen is involved in the manufacturing of high precision plastic components use in the manufacturing of computer peripherals, information and technology products, electronics and electrical related products and automotive product.
