KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 16): Shares in GD Express Carrier Bhd (GDEx), which has been on the hunt for a last-mile delivery partner in Vietnam for the past three years, rose 3.51% in active trade this mornng after it said it is taking up a 50% stake in Vietnamese courier and logistics service provider Noi Bai Express and Trading Joint Stock company (Netco) for VND76.73 billion (RM13.85 million).
At 9,16am, GDEx added 1 sen to 29.5 sen, valuing it at RM1.66 billion.
The group said the proposed acquisition, to be funded with internal funds, is in line with its regional ambition to build a sustainable Southeast Asia delivery network
