KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 9): Electronic manufacturing service provider SKP Resources Bhd executive director Gan Poh San has been redesignated as managing director of the group, effective immediately.

Gan, who assumed his current role in December 2002, is the son of the late Datuk Gan Kim Huat, a major shareholder and former executive chairman and MD of SKP Resources.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday (Dec 9), SKP Resources said former deputy inspector general of the Royal Malaysian Police Tan Sri Hussin Ismail, 69, has also been appointed non-executive chairman of the group. Hussin is presently the chairman of JAKS Resources Bhd and Ecomate Holdings Bhd.

SKP Resources' Annual Report 2020 showed Gan, 47, held a direct stake of 5% and an indirect stake of 16.36% of the group as of end-June.

SKP Resources' shares closed up two sen or 1.22% at RM1.66 on Friday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.59 billion.
