PETALING JAYA (Nov 30): Gamuda Land and Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) yesterday to provide infrastructure and related network services at its 89-acre Kundang Estates development in Kuang, Sungai Buloh.

The MoU will also include the provision of complimentary high-speed internet access at 30mbps for two years to the development’s residents upon vacant possession of their properties, said TM and Gamuda Land in a press statement.

“As a town-maker, Gamuda Land creates places that people will call home, want to be a part of, grow up and grow old in. One important aspect of town-making is connecting people. When we make a good sustainable town, it is not just about the engineering and construction,” said Gamuda Land chief operating officer Ngan Chee Meng.

“To do it right, we also think through the connectivity, and to virtually connect people to one another beyond the town, city or country is just as important to us. So our master plan has to have the right technology and solutions for our community,” he added.

Ngan and Gamuda Land executive director Datuk Abdul Sahak Safi signed the MoU on behalf of the developer while TM One — the enterprise and public-sector business solutions arm of TM — was represented by TM Selangor vice-president Datuk Zuraidah Mohd Said and TM One chief marketing and partnership officer Mahmoud Dasser.

“We are happy and excited with this collaboration where Gamuda Land has chosen TM as its trusted partner for the deployment of network infrastructure and services at Kundang Estates development in the next four years,” said Zuraidah.

“This collaboration does not only reflect our support towards the development of Kundang Estates townships, but it is also a testament to our commitment of bringing high-speed broadband connectivity to more customers nationwide.

“The partnership with Gamuda Land is also aimed at creating more value and delivering an enhanced experience to the residents as it is our aspiration to be the strategic digital enabler for business verticals, including property developers, towards realising the full potential of their digital opportunities,” she added.
