KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Focus Dynamics Group Bhd (formerly known as Focus Dynamics Technologies Bhd) has introduced its latest food and beverage (F&B) and lifestyle hub called The Arch, on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur.

“Focus Dynamics’ strategy is to continue breaking boundaries in creating the latest, and hippest concepts in F&B and lifestyle establishments.

“We do not intend to sell the property. Construction work will commence in 3Q2017 and we can expect its completion in the next 12 to 18 months, probably by end-2018,” Focus Dynamics Group executive director Edward Leung said at the groundbreaking ceremony today. Besides F&B, the group is also involved in engineering services, and manufacturing.

Sitting on 169,504 sq ft of land made up of two freehold parcels adjacent to TREC Kuala Lumpur, RHB Banking Group headquarters and the Royal Selangor Golf Club, The Arch is a five-storey building with a basement level.

It is expected to have a total estimated gross floor area of about 530,000 sq ft and a total net lettable area of about 435,300 sq comprising retail lots, showrooms, F&B lots, a multipurpose event hall, a family-themed karaoke entertainment centre, a Chinese restaurant and a seafood restaurant.

The Arch will also have a basement parking level with 289 parking lots, while the car park facilities on the ground, second and third floors will offer another 570 parking lots.

Also present at the event was Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

“As the Minister in charge of the Federal Territories, it is my duty to oversee the development of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya as well as Labuan to make sure the development is in line with the master plan of the country’s roadmap.

“As such, I am always happy to see the efforts of developers who take the lead and contribute to make Kuala Lumpur a world-class business and lifestyle entertainment destination in Asia,” said Tengku Adnan in his speech.

According to Leung, the total funding requirement for The Arch is about RM85 million, which covers construction, renovation, fixtures and fittings as well as working capital.

Out of the amount, Focus Dynamics is to contribute a total of RM43.35 million (51%) while its business partners will contribute RM41.65 million (49%).

“We will expand in terms of providing F&B space but we are not a property developer,” Leung noted, adding that Focus Dynamics’ focus will be on The Arch for the next 12 to 18 months.
