KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 8): Highway operator PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) plans to revamp five rest and recreation (R&R) areas along its motorway this year to make them safer, more sustainable and comfortable.
In a statement today, PLUS managing director Datuk Azman Ismail said the company intends to collaborate with distinguished Malaysian construction and consultancy firms to achieve its objective.
He said the project is timely, as customers' needs and wants have evolved, requiring facilities to be contemporary and world-class.
The total makeover will begin with R&R Seremban (southbound) and in partnership with property consultancy firm Nawawi Tie Leung (NTL).
“PLUS is excited for the project to get going, because it is in line with our mission to provide a service that exceeds expectations,” Azman said.
The renovation concept plan for R&R Seremban will bring added value to traders and PLUS partners.
The new and improved rest stop is set to feature wide spaces, food products from big local brands, as well as a special area for food trucks. — Bernama
