FGV set to lay off 6,000 workers over 3 years — report

KUALA LUMPUR (April 25): Co. looking to cut as many as 6,000 jobs as part of its recovery plan after posting a RM1.07 billion loss last year, Malaysia Reserve reports, citing people it didn’t name.

* Lay-off will come from among some 20,000 workers at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and regional offices

* Termination process ongoing with a total of 667 employees accepting co.’s mandatory separation scheme in 2018

* By June, 500 more jobs will be cut
