EY_Rao_20apr15KUALA LUMPUR: Nominations for Ernst & Young (EY) Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 Malaysia Awards are now open until June 12, 2015.

The awards programme returns for its 14th edition with the aim of recognising outstanding Malaysian entrepreneurs and sharing their stories with the world.

Themed “Ignite. Innovate. Inspire”, EY said in a statement that the Malaysian Entrepreneur Of the Year (EOY) Awards programme seeks to recognise and celebrate achievements of inspiring entrepreneurs across four categories: Emerging, Technology, Woman and Master.

“We are looking for individuals who have a passion for new ideas and innovation, who grow and build their business from start-up to market leadership, and, ultimately, inspire others with their achievements and success,” said EOY Awards programme partner and programme director Philip Rao.

Rao said the focus of the EOY programme is on the individual entrepreneur whose qualities and characteristics have contributed to his or her achievements and success.

“We are inspired by these individuals who challenge the status quo by bringing new ways of thinking and who are setting new benchmarks for businesses across sectors and borders,” Rao said.

The EOY Awards is a global programme and the Malaysian EOY country winner will represent the country and compete with over 60 other country winners for the title of EY World Entrepreneur of the Year (WEOY) in Monte Carlo.
