KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 26): Eversendai Corp Bhd's year-to-date (YTD) project wins grew to RM1.12 billion, after the company secured four new projects worth RM404 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Eversendai said the four new project wins ensure the group's continued growth and prosperity.

It said one of the projects is to construct one of the largest glass roof structures in the world in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Eversendai was also awarded the structural steel fabrication and construction package for a combined cycle gas power plant project in Malaysia.

It also added that it secured the construction award of a 45-story high-rise residential tower in Mumbai, India.

The group's oil and gas division also secured a project to fabricate and assemble leg sections for the Offshore Wind Installation Jack Up Vessel (Deme Innovation) in Europe.

Eversendai said its outstanding order book stood at RM2.37 billion as at June 30 this year.

The group's executive chairman and managing director Tan Sri A K Nathan said the group continued to experience a busy period with numerous projects in hand and more exciting ground-breaking projects in the works.

'With our world class expertise and our reputation as a world leader in structural steel fabrication with an excellent track record, we are able to take on opportunities to further bolster our business and bring to life works of engineering marvels," he said.

He also added that the group is constantly looking into expanding and developing its business and knowledge base by undertaking highly complex structural projects, ensuring on-time delivery, without compromising on safety and quality.

As of noon break, Eversendai's share price slipped lower by 0.5 sen or 0.67% to 74 sen with about 191,600 shares traded.
