KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 26): Eversendai Corp Bhd said today the construction company had year to date (YTD) secured RM1.44 billion worth of new jobs, which include RM321 million worth of new contracts clinched in Singapore, Qatar and India.

Eversendai said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia that its YTD outstanding construction order book stood at RM2.43 billion.

Eversendai executive chairman and group managing director Tan Sri A. K. Nathan said in the statement: "We are pleased to note that the market environment in the regions we operate remain positive as they continue to roll out commercial, residential and infrastructure projects progressively. We are also constantly reviewing and implementing strategic plans to improvise within, while consolidating our effort to ensure we achieve our goals."

The RM321 million worth of new wins include a 26-storey commercial building project in Singapore and an army base camp project in Qatar, read the statement.

In India, the group's wins comprise two towers with 49 and 41 storeys respectively besides a railway bridge project, according to Eversendai.
