KUALA LUMPUR (July 30): Shares of ES Ceramics Technology Bhd hit record highs, rising as much as 32.8% to 83 sen in morning trade as healthcare-linked stocks continue to enjoy investor attention on the back of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

ES Ceramics is predominantly involved in the business operation of hand formers used by the glove industry, with operations in Malaysia and Thailand.

By 11.30am, the counter had pared some of its gains, settling 18.5 sen or 29.6% higher at 81 sen, which gave the ceramic manufacturer a market capitalisation of RM168.84 million.

At this point of the day, around 83.01 million ES Ceramics shares were traded, already well above the 200-day average volume of 8.05 million.

Year-to-date, the counter has almost quadrupled from 20.5 sen, and it was the tenth top gainer on Bursa Malaysia this morning.
