KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 4): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) today reported the sale of another 7.36 million shares in Top Glove Corp Bhd.

The shares were disposed of on Dec 1 via four transactions, the group reported in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, without disclosing the prices.

Following the latest disposals, the EPF is now left with 458.8 million shares or a 5.72% stake in the glove manufacturer.

The retirement fund started to trim its stake in the world's largest rubber glove maker towards the end of November, just two months after it re-emerged as a substantial shareholder on Sept 21 with a 5.05% stake, which it later then raised to 6.64% or 534.31 million shares as of Nov 20.

Since then the fund has been trimming its stake in Top Glove every single day.

Prior to the latest disposals, the EPF sold off 10 million Top Glove shares on Nov 26, 5.84 million shares on Nov 27, and another 12.83 million shares on Nov 30.

The counter, which has leapt many folds from RM1.55 at the start of the year, went down by 13 sen or 1.92% to close at RM6.65 per share today, for a market capitalisation of RM54.41 billion.
