KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 7): The Employees Provident Fund Board (EPF) sold 2.7 million shares or 0.17% stake in KNM Group Bhd.

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, KNM said the share transaction was done on Oct 31. The provident fund’s shareholding fell to 4.84% or 78.18 million shares, and it has ceased to be a substantial shareholder of the oil & gas equipment fabrication firm.

Prior to the disposal, EPF holds a mere 5.01% stake or 80.88 million shares in KNM, as of Oct 30.

Like other oil & gas related counters, KNM share price has been on a downward trend in the past four months. The stock has slid from its three-year peak of RM1.10 to a recent low of RM1.

It dropped 0.5 sen to close at 78 sen today, with 4.04 million units traded. The company’s market capitalization stood at RM1.25 billion, based on today’s closing.
