KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 29): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has disposed some 18.35 million shares or 0.95% stake in KNM Group Bhd.

The disposal has brought the provident fund's total shareholdings in the company to 92.68 million shares, representing 4.78% of the company's total issued and paid-out capital, as at Sept 23.  

EPF first emerged as a substantial shareholders in KNM on Aug 26 with a 5.63% stake, after acquiring 14.25 million shares or 0.73% stake in the company.

On Aug 27, it further raised its stake holding to 6.17%, before starting its disposal spree.

Over the past one month, EPF has acquired 14.8 million or 0.76% stake, but had sold 41.68 million or 2.14% stake in the company, according to the company's filings with the stock exchange.  

KNM's shares fell 1.5 sen or 3.12% to close at 46.5 sen today, after some 14.81 million securities were traded. The current price gives it a market capitalisation of RM911.3 million.
