KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 19): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd.
A filing with Bursa Malaysia today showed that the EPF has disposed of 1 million Perisai shares on Oct 8 this year, bringing its total shareholdings in the company to 58.86 million, representing a 4.93% stake.
The EPF had emerged as a substantial shareholder in Perisai on Aug 12, with total shareholdings then of 59.86 million, representing a substantial 5.02% stake.
Singapore-listed Ezra Holdings Ltd is the largest shareholder in Perisai via its indirect interests in Emas Offshore Ltd, which has a 12.13% direct stake in Perisai, and also in HCM Logistics Ltd, which holds an 11.46% stake.
Lembaga Tabung Haji controls 6.55% of Perisai's shareholdings, while Perisai managing director Datuk Zainol Izzet Mohamed Ishak has a 5.55% stake in the company.
Year-to-date, Perisai's share price has fallen by 22% to close at 35.5 sen today, with a market capitalisation of RM417.45 million.
