KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 12): Employee Provident Fund sells more shares in Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd, which share price has nearly halved since July.

The latest filing to Bursa Malaysia shows that the provident fund sold two million Perisai shares on Nov 7.

Since mid-October, EPF has disposed of 12.19 million shares, or 1.14%, in Perisai. The provident fund still holds a 6.91% equity stake in the oil & gas company.

EPF’s shareholding increased to 8.05% stake in in middle of October, before it started trimming its stake.

Last week, Perisai announced a disappointing set of quarterly results. The O&G player’s net profit shrunk 90.5% to RM2.23 million from RM23.44 million.

Its nine-month cumulative period net profit plunged by 99.71% to RM204,000, from RM71.18 million in previous corresponding period.

Perisai share price was up 1.5 sen or 2.04% to close at 75 sen today, with 32.58 million shares done, giving it a market capitalisation of RM894.54 million.
