KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 19): The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and AmanahRaya Trustees Bhd had purchased more shares in SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd.

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the EPF acquired some 1.83 million shares in the oil and gas group on Jan 14, increasing its stake to a total of some 814.61 million shares or 13.59%.

Meanwhile, AmanahRaya — Skim Amanah Saham Bumiputera — bought an additional 2.59 million shares in SapuraKencana (fundamental: 1.3; valuation: 1.8) on Jan 14, translating to total holdings of 377.02 million shares or 6.29% stake.

SapuraKencana rose 13 sen or 5.2% to RM2.63 today, bringing its market capitalisation to RM15.76 billion.
