KUALA LUMPUR (May 3): Enra Group Bhd’s 60%-owned subsidiary Enra SPM Sdn Bhd (ESPM) has installed a single point mooring system (SPM) and storage tanker to support the production of gas condensate in Yetagun, an offshore gas field in the Andaman Sea, off the coast of Myanmar.

In a statement today, Enra said the gas field is operated by Petroliam Nasional Bhd subsidiary PC Myanmar (Hong Kong) Ltd (PCML).

It said the SPM and storage tanker provide condensate storing, as well as offloading facilities and services

Enra said ESPM had on the July 10, 2017, accepted a letter of award from PCML for the provision of condensate storing, offloading facilities and services, for a period of four years, after installation and commissioning thereof.

It said the contract is worth about US$48 million.

Enra said the fabrication and construction of the SPM, and modification of the storage tanker commenced in July 2017 and took nine months to complete.

“As our maiden offshore oil and gas effort, we are pleased that the project was successfully delivered on time with no man hours lost,” it said.

Enra said it is keen to develop a track record in providing cost effective solutions and services to the oil and gas industry within the region and looks forward to securing opportunities to demonstrate its capabilities.
