KUALA LUMPUR (March 9): Stocks in the energy sector were actively traded early this morning after the energy index fell 20% following the plunge in crude oil prices.

At 9.05am, the energy index fell to 808.48 points.

Among the actively traded energy stocks were Sapura Energy Bhd, which fell 31% to 11 sen, Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd down 37% to 44.5 sen, while the other actives were Daya Materials Bhd, Bumi Armada Bhd, Velesto Energy Bhd and Sapura Energy Bhd.
