KUALA LUMPUR (March 6): Managing director and chief executive officer of Desaru Coast Destination Resorts Roslina Arbak has to handle multiple things in the course of work, including the men in charge of its various properties.

She acknowledges the staff and others who work closely around her to create memorable experiences for guests so they will keep going back to Desaru Coast, which made the list of TIME magazine’s "World’s Greatest Places of 2021". She hopes visitors will want to be inspired and rejuvenated, and to reconnect with people. Those who go for work can have activities curated specially them, under its "Corporate Events, Reimagined" programme.

The Lady Dior is christened after the late Princess Diana, who first received the emblematic Dior bag from France’s first lady, Bernadette Chirac, in 1995.

Diana ordered more versions of it in different colours and took them to places with her, turning the elegant bag composed of 144 pieces and made entirely by hand into an iconic accessory. Read the story behind it, then visit "Lady Dior As Seen By" at the brand’s pop-up store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. The exhibition, on until March 27, shows how contemporary artists from around the world used the bags as a canvas, reinventing and transforming them into works of art.

Mark International Women’s Day (March 8) by celebrating creativity and tenacity: Options picks out fashion essentials from home-grown brands founded by women, and 12 books that tell how many overcame odds stacked against them and seized opportunities to make things better for themselves and others.

If you wish to raise a glass, there’s a host of spirited women who, over the centuries, influenced the birth of alcoholic beverages. And if you crave the joy of good food and drink, meet Mandy Goh Miow Di, executive chef of St Regis Langkawi.
