KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 29): Shares in Econpile Holdings Bhd rose 2.67% this morning after its net profit for for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2019 rose 19% to RM23.17 million from RM19.46 million a year earlier, driven mainly by  contribution from infrastructure projects.

At 9.08am, Econpile added 2 sen to 77 sen, valuing the group at RM1.03 billion.

However, revenue for the quarter declined to RM176.60 million from RM192.28 million previously, as a result of a weaker local construction market and deferment in certain infrastructure projects.

Earnings per share was 1.73 sen versus 1.46 sen a year earlier.

Econpile proposed a first and final dividend of 0.5 sen per share for the financial year ended June 30, amounting to RM6.68 million, subject to shareholders’ approval.

For the financial year ended June 30, Econpile posted net profit RM25.51 million versus RM87.10 million a year earlier, on the back of revenue RM663.34 million against RM728.39 million previously.
