KUALA LUMPUR, (July 29): EcoFirst Consolidated Bhd rose as much as 3.5 sen or 13% on news the property and construction firm reported profit and higher revenue in the fourth quarter from net loss a year earlier.

EcoFirst (fundamental: 0; valuation: 0.3) rose to its highest so far today at 31.5 sen. At 9.55am, the stock was traded at 30.5 sen with some three million shares changing hands.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, EcoFirst said it posted a net profit of RM4.68 in its fourth quarter ended May 31, 2015 from a net loss of RM3.89 million.

Revenue grew to RM42.06 million from RM6.37 million.

For the full year, net profit, however, fell to RM6.13 million from RM30.11 million while revenue was higher at RM81.2 million compared to RM24.45 million.
