<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The group's wholly owned subsidiary E&amp;J Builders Sdn Bhd has been appointed the main contractor for the project by Golden Wave Sdn Bhd, Ecobuilt said in a filing today.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The development includes the main buildings and external works for retail (basement car parks, levels 1 and 2) and serviced apartments (basement and podium car parks, levels 2 to 14) along Jalan Wawasan.</p></div><div class=inPageAd id=div-gpt-ad-inpage></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The project is expected to be completed within 16 months on May 4, 2022.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>"The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Ecobuilt for the financial year ending May 31, 2021," said Ecobuilt.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Ecobuilt's share price was unchanged at 20.5 sen today, valuing the company at RM70.71 million.</p></div>

CIMB Thai Bank PCL’s net profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2024 (1QFY2024) dropped 24.6% year-on-year to 626.1 million baht from 830.1 million baht, as it reported lower operating income and higher expenses.  

The group recorded an 8.4% drop in operating income and an 11.8% increase in operating expenses. The effects of these were partially offset by a 36.9% decline in expected credit loss, according to CIMB Thai president and chief executive officer Paul Wong Chee Kin in a statement.
