Following the positive take-up rate of Eco Forest’s Hazelton Phase 1 first subphase, Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) anticipates a good response to the upcoming launch of the second subphase in the second half of the year.
Launched in December, Hazelton Phase 1 first subphase comprises 57 ErgoHomes (2-storey cluster terraced houses with built-ups of 1,883 and 2,290 sq ft) and 53 Garden Homes (30ft by 65ft terraced houses).
So far, they are 90% taken up, according to divisional general manager Evon Yap.
“ErgoHomes is a first-of-its-kind offering by EcoWorld, which was taken up very quickly. We saw a demand for homes that are affordable and, at the same time, customisable to cater for an individual’s lifestyle,” she tells City & Country.
“With the addition of lower interest rates and our new homeownership programme called #InstaYours, we are confident of a similar overwhelming response when we launch Hazelton Phase 1 second subphase in 2H2020, as homes will be much more affordable then.”
Hazelton is Eco Forest’s second precinct and has a gross development value (GDV) of RM420 million. It will comprise 530 landed homes with a 20ft back lane and a linear garden. Inspired by the multi-layer planting height of the forest, the landscape in this phase will offer 43,325 sq m of green space and a private central garden, as well as 1,950 sq m of dedicated walkways.
Hazelton Phase 1 will be launched over three subphases. Hazelton Phase 1 second subphase will comprise Artisan Homes (162 units) and Garden Homes (92 units). These units will have built-up areas of between 1,871 and 2,479 sq ft, with a starting price of RM570,000. They are inspired by A-frame design architecture and an open-concept layout with 11ft ceiling height.
Artisan Homes comprises terraced houses available in two sizes: 20ft by 65ft and 20ft by 70ft.
Hazelton is part of mixed-use development township Eco Forest in Semenyih. Located next to Broga Hill, the 515-acre freehold Eco Forest has an estimated GDV of RM2.5 billion and will have eight precincts comprising strata-titled landed homes, high-rise residences and shoplots.
The gated and guarded township will have a single-entry point for each precinct. Residents will be able to enjoy more than 50 acres reserved for blue belts and green lungs, as well as a 25-acre central town park.
The township is accessible via Kajang-Seremban Highway, Kajang Dispersal Link Expressway and Cheras-Kajang Expressway, and will be linked to the upcoming East Klang Valley Expressway, which is due for completion next year.
Nearby schools and amenities include University of Nottingham Malaysia, SJK (C) Sin Ming, SJKC Kampung Baru Broga, SK Semenyih, SMK Bandar Rinching, SJK (C) Ton Fah Eco Majestic, Tesco, Aeon, Starbucks, McDonald’s and the recreational area in Broga Hill.
Eco Forest was launched in 4Q2017 with its first precinct, Ebonylane, comprising 684 landed units priced from RM600,000. The precinct is fully sold.
Earlier this year, EcoWorld launched the #InstaYours homeownership campaign, offering benefits such as low upfront deposits and no payment until vacant possession. It also provides easy approval with Maybank PLUS Mortgage.
