KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 15): Building material company Dominant Enterprise Bhd’s two workers tested positive for Covid-19 at its factory cum warehouse in Muar, Johor.

In a bourse filing, the company announced that the two infections were detected on Feb 11 during a screening exercise for all of its employees in Muar. These two workers have since been quarantined and separated from all other workers.

It will be suspending operations at its Muar operations from Feb 12 to Feb 25, subject to further directives from the relevant authorities.

“Disinfection and sanitisation procedures will be carried out in our premises during this period. The company will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that our operations will resume with the well-being of employees being safeguarded at all times.

"The temporary suspension will have minimal impact on the group’s operations and financial performance for the financial year ending 31 March 2021,” it noted.

At 10:02am, shares in Dominant Enterprise were up 0.69% or half a sen at 73 sen, valuing it at RM120.63 million. It saw 5,000 shares done.
