KUALA LUMPUR (May 21): Digi.Com Bhd will hold its fully virtual annual general meeting (AGM), conducted via live-streaming and online voting, on June 1 at 10am.
In a statement, Digi said it was taking all necessary precaution to safeguard the well-being of shareholders and minimise the risk of Covid-19 infections.
Digi said the AGM will be broadcast live from its headquarters located in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
Digi said only minimal essential individuals involved in conducting the AGM will be physically present at the broadcast venue, with full adherence to the standard health and safety operating procedures for businesses during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), as set out by the government.
"In this regard, we wish to advise that shareholders should not be physically present and will not be allowed entry to the broadcast venue during the AGM," it said.
Digi said this arrangement is also in line with the "Guidance and FAQs on the Conduct of General Meetings for Listed Issuers" issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia, which state that listed issuers shall conduct only fully virtual general meetings, without a physical meeting venue, during a period when the CMCO is in place.
To attend the AGM remotely, all shareholders and proxies will have to register their requests to participate with Digi's Share Registrar, Tricor Investor & Issuing House Services Sdn Bhd via https://tiih.online latest by 10am on May 30.
