KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 4): Destini Bhd has bagged an extension for its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) contract with the Royal Malaysian Air Force. The extension is for a one-year period from Oct 3, 2020. 

The contract is also for the supply of safety and survival equipment to the RMAF, the group said in a filing today, adding that the contract ceiling is about RM30.37 million.

Destini said its wholly-owned subsidiary Destini Prima Sdn Bhd received the letter of award from the Ministry of Defence for the extension of the contract on Dec 30.

The group said the extended contract is expected to contribute to its earnings and net assets for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2020 (FY20) and that ending FY21.

Destini’s share price finished one sen or 3.70% higher at 28 sen today, valuing the group at RM427.08 million. It saw 13.97 million shares done.
