KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): Destini Bhd has secured two contracts worth a total of RM89 million from the Ministry of Defence (Mindef) to provide its services to the military.

The group said the first contract is an extension of an existing contract and involves the provision of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and the supply of safety and survival related equipment for the Royal Malaysian Air Force.

"The contract extension expires in October 2022 and it has a ceiling value of approximately RM88 million," Destini said in a statement on Thursday (Jan 20).

The group said the second contract is to provide MRO services and the supply of safety and survival related equipment for the Malaysian Army Aviation for the next three years with a contract value of RM990,000.

Destini said the two contracts strengthen its position in the defence aviation industry as its capabilities are continuously recognised by the ministry and its affiliates.

"Moving forward, Destini is optimistic that it will be able to grow sustainably this year onwards," it added.

Destini is an integrated engineering service provider with interests in aviation and defence, energy, rail systems and marine industries.

Destini's share price finished 0.5 sen or 2.56% lower at 19 sen, valuing the company at RM316 million.
