KUALA LUMPUR: Dayang Enterprise Holdings Bhd has bagged a contract from Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Co Sdn Bhd (CPOC) to undertake modification works (an umbrella contract) for the Block B-17 & C-19 and Block B-17-01 integrated gas fields development.

The blocks are located south of the Gulf of Thailand, off the coast of Thailand and Malaysia.

Dayang said the value of the contract is based on work orders issued by CPOC throughout the duration of the contract. It will include other work and services, which are generally related to the scope of work in the contract at fixed rates.

In a bourse filing yesterday, Dayang said its wholly-owned subsidiary Dayang Enterprise Sdn Bhd (DESB) had been awarded the contract by CPOC.

The duration of the contract is for three years from Jan 30, with a two-year extension option.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to earnings of DESB over the duration of the contract,” said Dayang.

Dayang shares closed four sen or 1.42% lower at RM2.77 yesterday, giving it a market capitalisation of RM2.94 billion.
