KUALA LUMPUR (July 23): High Court judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali is expected to receive a submission on whether there is sub judice on Datuk Seri Najib Razak's mid-July Facebook posting regarding the trial on the misappropriation of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.

Two other applications are expected to be heard today — one with the defence counsel scheduled to continue the cross-examination of former AmBank relationship manager Joanna Yu, who has denied being in cahoots with fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, more popularly known as Jho Low, on the massive laundering and corruption scandal.

The other application is in relation to the defence seeking access to documents related to one of Najib's AmBank accounts.

The 54th prosecution witness' BlackBerry Messenger messages, taken from her mobile phone during the July 2015 authority raid on AmBank Jalan Raja Chulan, continue to be the centre of attention on the trial as it enters its 42nd day.

Najib is facing seven charges including three for criminal breach of trust, one for abuse of power and three for money laundering involving RM42 million of SRC funds.

The Edge is bringing the trial involving Malaysia’s former highest-ranking politician who led the country for nine years live.
