KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Cypark Resources Bhd rose as much as 16 sen or 9.5% after the environmental engineering specialist reported better second quarter and first half financials from a year earlier.
Yesterday (June 30), Cypark (fundamental: 1.3; valuation: 2.4) said it posted higher net profit of RM14.55 million for the second quarter ended April 30, 2015, from RM13.65 million. Revenue climbed to RM72.95 million, from RM68.92 million.
Cumulative first-half net profit increased to RM23.08 million, from RM21.38 million a year earlier. Revenue was higher at RM132.87 million versus RM120.38 milion.
Today, Cypark shares reached an intraday high of RM1.85, before paring gains at afternoon market break.
At 12:30pm, the stock settled at RM1.77, with 901,400 shares exchanged.
