KUALA LUMPUR (March 19): The Ministry of Health (MoH) today announced 110 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the tally to 900.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said in a statement that 63 cases were participants of the Masjid Jamek Seri Petaling gathering.

“To date, 20 cases of positive Covid-19 are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the breathing assistance support,” he said.

He added that 15 cases have recovered, bringing the total of cured cases to 75, and most of the patients are allowed to be discharged today.

Selangor has recorded the highest number of cases at 223, followed by Kuala Lumpur (123), Sabah (112) and Johor (101).

The MoH has urged the public to obey the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Declaration of Infected Local Areas) Order 2020 and the Movement Control Order as well as advised the public to stay at home.
