KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 7) : Complete Logistic Services Bhd (CLSB) has received a notice of conditional voluntary takeover offer from major shareholder Datuk Ong Choo Meng and his special purpose vehicle Hextar Tech Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Get Asia Group Sdn Bhd).

CLSB announced in a bourse filing on Tuesday (Dec 7) that Hextar Tech and Ong intended to acquire the remaining ordinary shares in CLSB not already owned by them at RM2.50. The offer price is a premium of 9.78% to CLSB’s five-day volume weighted average market price of up to Nov 29.

As at Nov 29, Ong holds 37.45 million shares in CLSB, representing approximately 29.11% of the total issued shares in CLSB.

Ong is also the group chief executive officer of the Hextar group of companies, a local player in the agrochemicals and fertilisers industries with ventures in the industrial chemicals, oilfield chemicals, engineering, quarry as well as machinery and equipment industries.

Ong intends to maintain the listing status of CLSB on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.

At 10.42 am on Tuesday, CLSB rose one sen or 0.4% to RM2.52, valuing the group at RM315.19 million.

Year-to-date, it has risen 265.22%.
