KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 6): Practice Note 17 (PN17) company Comintel Corp Bhd said its unit has secured a sub-contract for earthwork and rock hacking works in Damansara Perdana, Sungai Buloh, worth RM7.2 million.

Binastra Construction (M) Sdn Bhd gave the subcontract to Comintel's wholly-owned subsidiary Total Package Work Sdn Bhd for the development of a plot upon which two 36-storey blocks comprising 1,066 units of serviced apartments — namely 454 regular units and 612 affordable units — along with one facility floor and eight floors of podium-level parking, one floor of mezzanine level parking, one floor of lower ground floor parking and three storeys of sub-basement parking will be constructed.

These are part of a larger development that includes more serviced apartments, office towers, hotels, commercial buildings, and a private education institution, among others.

In a bourse filing, Comintel said the sub-contract started today and should be completed in two months.

It added that the project is expected to provide an additional income stream for the group and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the group for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2022.
