MUMBAI (May 15): Xiaomi, a Chinese electronics company headquartered in Beijing, announced a new innovative Mi Express Kiosk initiative in Bangalore in India, reported Xinhua news agency.
A release of the announcement says the new Mi Express Kiosks are vending machines which allow consumers and Mi Fans to purchase Xiaomi smartphones and mobile accessories directly. The kiosks are designed to accept all forms of payments across credit cards, debit cards, cash and UPI, making it a highly convenient and hassle-free form of purchase for customers.
This innovative retail model will offer the efficiency of an e-commerce business, making it a cost-effective approach. All technology equipping Mi Express Kiosks has been researched and developed in India.
The company aims to set up several more kiosks in the coming months, and gradually expand the retail plan across more cities in India.
Xiaomi was founded in April 2010 and listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on July 9, 2018. — Bernama
