KUALA LUMPUR (June 28): Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd, which has temporarily suspended the operations of its brewery in Shah Alam from June 2, will continue to close the brewery until further notice.

The group said in a bourse filing today that the decision was made following the government’s announcement yesterday that Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan will be extended and that the National Security Council’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) announced on June 1 will continue to apply during this period.

“As such, the company’s brewery in Shah Alam will remain temporarily closed until further notice and necessary arrangements to work-from-home for our employees remain in place,” it said.

Carlsberg was unchanged at RM22 today, valuing the group at RM6.73 billion.
