KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): CapitaMalls Malaysia REIT Management Sdn Bhd (CMMRM), the manager of CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust (CMMT), announced the appointment of Low Peck Chen as its chief executive officer (CEO) and non-independent executive director with effect from Nov 1.

In a media statement today, CMMRM said Low will take over from Sharon Lim, who is resigning as CEO to pursue personal interest.

Low is currently CMMRM Deputy CEO, and previously helmed the position of head of finance since October 2011.

According to CMMRM, she has more than 14 years of experience in finance and accounting, and has actively participated in corporate fund raising in the capital and debt markets, and successfully brokered numerous financing and refinancing deals.

Low was also part of the core team that spearheaded the listing of CMMT on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in July 2010.

Low holds a Bachelor of Accounting (First Class Honours) degree from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

CMMT’s property portfolio covers a total net lettable area of over 2.4 million sq ft and as at June 30, the total asset size stands at about RM3.3 billion.
