KUALA LUMPUR (April 21): Vizione Holdings Bhd's share-trade volume more than doubled on Thursday (April 21) from a day earlier as its share price rose after the builder said on Wednesday (April 20) that its joint venture company Permata Rebana & Vizione Holdings JV Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award from Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (PERKESO) involving a RM654 million planned construction of a non-residential building in Perak's Kinta district.

PERKESO is also known as the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).

At Bursa Malaysia’s 12:30pm break, Vizione's share-trade volume spiked to 94.82 million to become the most-actively traded counter across Bursa. Vizione's share-trade volume at  94.82 million is more than double the 40.89 million on Wednesday (April 20).

Vizione's share price pared gains to 11 sen after rising as much as two sen or 20% to 12 sen.

Meanwhile, Vizione's free detachable warrants (Vizione-WE) were Bursa's second-most actively traded security with 81.26 million units transacted. Vizione-WE's price settled unchanged at 2.5 sen.

Vizione-WE, issued pursuant to the company's rights issue of new shares, was listed on March 7, 2022, according to Vizione. The warrant is scheduled to mature on March 1, 2025, according to the company.

On Wednesday, Vizione said SOCSO's letter of award involved a proposal to build a robotics-based rehabilitation centre within Kinta district's Bandar Meru Raya on a design and build basis.

"The letter of award is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the company (Vizione)," Vizione said.
