KUALA LUMPUR (May 6): Bumi Armada Bhd, Yinson Holdings Bhd and Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd are among the non-Syariah lists that could potentially be included in the FBM KLCI list, according to BIMB Securities Research.
In its strategy note today, the research house said it was no secret that IOI Corporation Bhd would be out of the Syariah list in the second half of this year dud to its high non-Islamic debts.
The other Syariah list company that could potentially be out of the FBM KLCI list was Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd, said the research house.
“Our list is on a best effort basis nonetheless there is still the presence of limitation for a thorough screening process.
“For companies where there are no disclosure of its mode of financing, we would assume it under the conventional segment,” it said.
