<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner>KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 28): Bumi Armada Bhd has appointed Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry (Shapoor) as a non-independent and non-executive director of the offshore services provider and Ravi Shankar Srinivasan as an alternate director to Shapoor. 
 
Shapoor, 50, brings with him more 30 years of corporate experience spanning several continents and diverse industries including real estate, construction, shipping, banking, manufacturing, logistics and offshore oil and gas (O&amp;G). 
 
In a statement today, Bumi Armada said Shapoor is presently the chairman of Forbes &amp; Co Ltd listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, which is involved in engineering, shipping, logistics, warehousing and multi modal &nbsp;transportation. He is also a chairman in Eureka Forbes Ltd of India, a public company within the Shapoorji Pallonji group. 
 
Meanwhile, Ravi, 60, is presently the regional director of Forbes and Company Ltd. &nbsp;He is also the head of business initiatives for Shapoorji Pallonji &amp; Co Ltd, primarily in the O&amp;G sector. 
 
Bumi Armada shares closed down 6.17% to RM1.52 this morning, with 5.23 million shares done. Its market capitalisation stood at RM8.92 million.
