KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 19): Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd (BToto) reported a net profit of RM66.96 million on the back of a RM1.44 billion revenue for its first quarter ended Sept 30, 2019 (1QFY20).

There are no comparative figures disclosed for the current quarter, following the company's change in its financial year end from April 30 to June 30, 2019.

The board has declared a first interim dividend of four sen per share, amounting to RM53.88 million or 80.5% of attributable profit in the first quarter, to be paid on Jan 9 next year.

In a statement, the group said it anticipates the performance of the NFO business of Sports Toto will be better with the improved per draw sales growth and is confident that the group will continue to maintain its market share in the NFO business for the remaining quarters of the financial year ending June 30, 2020 (FY20).

The group’s shares went up three sen or 1.2% at RM2.56 today, for a market capitalisation of RM3.45 billion.
