PETALING JAYA (June 30): Boustead Properties Bhd has partnered with Affin Bank to tackle home financing with the Home Step Fast/-i campaign.

Boustead Properties on Thursday (June 30) signed a document of understanding (DOU) with Affin Bank to provide eligible homeowners with more flexibility in financing solutions under the latter’s Home Step Fast/-i initiative.

The Home Step Fast/-i campaign is well-suited for first home buyers or those starting a family, as the buyer can take advantage of up to 90% plus 5% financing, as well as other conditions including lower monthly loan repayment for the first five years; loan tenure of either 30 years or age 70, depending on which is earlier; and a no lock-in period.

“We see the residential property market definitely showing positive signs of growth, as we move towards normalcy. With the country recovering, more people will want their dream home. By working in partnership with Affin Bank, we can give homeowners the benefit of a positive start, so they can make their dream a reality,” said Boustead Properties CEO Khairul Azizi Ismail in a press statement on Thursday.

He added that Boustead Properties is offering the Home Step Fast/-i campaign for three of its properties, namely One Cochrane Residences in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur; Mutiara Hills in Semenyih, Selangor and Mutiara Rini in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

On the other hand, Boustead Properties also inked a DOU with Proficient Software Solution, a construction project management platform, to accelerate its digital transformation. The partnership will enable Boustead Properties to increase efficiencies through end-to-end digitalisation in all of its development projects.

“The property market is evolving thanks to rapid digitalisation, which now impacts almost every sector of the economy. Through greater technology innovation in how we develop our properties, we can expect to deliver better quality and more cost efficient products to meet the changing needs of consumers,” Khairul noted.

Meanwhile, the developer has also announced that it had recently entered into a DOU with Boustead Plantations Bhd and UAC Bhd to develop new designs of homes for plantation workers at Boustead Plantations’ estates across the country.
