KUALA LUMPUR (July 5): The international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) amounted to US$102.7 billion as at June 28, 2019, the central bank said today.

In a statement, BNM said the reserves level has taken into account the quarterly adjustment for foreign exchange revaluation changes.

"The reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.3 months of retained imports and is 1.2 times total short-term external debt," BNM said.

On June 21, BNM said in a statement that its international reserves amounted to US$102.6 billion as at June 14.

The reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.2 months of retained imports and is 1.1 times total short-term external debt, according to BNM.
