KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 1): BMW Group Malaysia has introduced two new technology-packed M Sport models — the hybrid 330e M Sport and its compact hatch 118iM, available from this month.

Both the 330e and 118i are equipped with the performance-ready M Sport bodykits and interior fittings. Other key features include BMW’s Comfort Access systems and high resolution navigation systems, the automaker said in a statement today.

It said an interesting feature is the BMW ConnectedDrive system, including GPS-assisted one-touch emergency call function, internet-connected maintenance and servicing data sharing, and even 24-hour “personal assistant” call assist, which BMW said is the first in the industry.

The variants offer high-tech remote services, complemented with an additional eDrive Service for the 330e M. The 330e M also specifically keeps its additional functionalities which include the rear view camera, electric glass roof, and park assist function.

“The BMW 1 Series still remains the only rear-wheel drive car in its segment, demarcating a car that is not only sporty and dynamic but also stays very true to our promise of Sheer Driving Pleasure,” BMW Group Malaysia managing director and CEO Han Sang Yun said.

“The BMW 330e, the new variant of the ultimate premium sports sedan we introduced recently at the BMW Innovations Day, now also features a more performance appeal to complement the futuristic technology courtesy of BMW i,” said Han.

Prices of the new 330e M Sport start at RM258,800 and the 118i M Sport's prices start at RM188,800.

BMW is also currently organising a Chinese New Year campaign, with festive activities spanning over the weekends of Feb 4-5 and Feb 11-12.

At the same time, all BMW authorised dealerships are conducting their ‘Test-Drive Lucky Draw’ programme until Feb 12, during which those who test drive any BMW model will stand a chance to win up to RM88,888 to purchase a new BMW vehicle.
